Today was a good workout. The lifting wasn't too high volume and the metcon was challegning. I had a solid athlete to train with, one who was qualified to regionals. I kept up with him most of the metcon, but ultimately he beat me due to the speed of his double-unders and pull-ups. My hands are still trashed from 'Chelsea,' but I trained anyway.
Snatch - 5,4,3,1,1 - 95, 115, 135, 145, 155 (10 lb PR)
Rack Jerk (front, with split) - 5,4,3,1,1 - 135, 155, 175, 195, 205 - these felt really good, I could have gone heavier, but decided to save some for the metcon. I'm excited to PR soon on the jerk.
Metcon, for time:
800m Run
then 2 rounds for time:
50 Double-unders
40 Russian Twists (20 lb ball)
30 Burpees
20 Pull-ups
100 ft Lunge OH Plate Carry (45 lb)
800m Run
Time: 21.54. The guy I was training with came in right under 19, it was nice to have someone to push me.
