10/12/18

Today was a great day in the gym. This was really amazing. I flew back from San Diego today and my wife worked a long day and we got into the gym around 6:45 pm. We were both tired and not in the ideal mindset to PR. I am proud of my wife for digging deep and hitting PRs today regardless. I am also proud of myself... waking up at 0300 to get on my 0600 flight out of San Diego and then flying across the country (not direct) was not a great way to start a PR attempt day. I had mentally decided to give it my all regardless and ended up PRing both of my lifts. I haven't PRed these since late 2014 / early 2015, when I also weighed about 10# more than I do now. Stoked to lift more tomorrow!

-Complete ... PRed my snatch at 250#. I missed 250# once prior... I knew I could do it so I went back and nailed it. This is a life-time PR. I haven't PRed my snatch since December 2014 at 245#. I have been doing this cycle off of 250# and was stoked to hit it, didn't push it beyond this PR, saved it for C&J.

-Complete ... got up to a PR 315# .. my all-time PR clean and jerk was previously 305# from December 2014. I have cleaned 330# and jerked 315# from a rack, but 315# C and J is the most I've ever thrown together. I am excited to keep getting better on the jerk to match my clean. There is possibly more here, but called it at 315#, this was a confident lift and I felt great. Didn't want to end on a miss.
